Red Bank, N.J. — Red Bank wineries will expand and hire new employees to help expand the production of its red wine.
The company said Wednesday it will hire 100 people in its winery, a move that will help it meet growing demand for its red and white wines, which are popular with restaurants and bars.

Red River Winery is located on Route 3, a small island off the Jersey shore, just outside of Red Bank’s airport.
It employs about 10 people and has been producing red wines since 2007, said Red Bank spokeswoman Jennifer Denno.
The company is expanding to the north, where it has an office in Redbank and is hiring a new wine-making manager to help make its wines more available to restaurants and restaurants in nearby towns.
The red and black wines make up about a third of Red River’s sales.
Denno said the company also is looking to add to its winemaking staff.
Red River has about 100 employees and plans to hire more soon.
